Our regular update on events at Reeth Memorial Hall
Next year's programme is now filling up nicely with a mixture of performers who are new to Reeth and several who are back by popular
demand - in the last couple of weeks we've confirmed dates for The Seamus Egan Project, Peggy Seeger with her son Calum MacColl, Laura
Cortese & the Dance Cards, and, from the 60s, The Fourmost. Do keep checking the website as more events are added.
There are just a few tickets left for the fundraiser on Saturday 9th November, featuring local young people who have offered to put on a
double headed evening in support of the Two Ridings Community Foundation flood relief fund. This features acoustic duo Lewis & Katie plus
four piece band Feedback and full details are on the Music page of the Hall website. Details of other fund raisers, including the Grande Gala
Dinner Dance on 2nd November at Tennants Garden Rooms in Leyburn, are on the Flood News page.
Best wishes

The next Memorial Hall fundraisers:
Friday 22nd November - Sherburn, Bartley, Sanders
The Memorial Hall's first folk gig was with Chris & Denny’s Last Night’s Fun, so they are totally to blame for all that has followed! Chris
(concertina) and Denny (vocals and guitar) have now teamed up with Emily Sanders (fiddle/viola and vocals) and have become a well-
established trio, for the first time blending vocal harmonies and strings to underpin Chris and Denny’s unique sound.
We can guarantee that you will have a thoroughly entertaining evening as their soul stirring songs, exhilarating tunes and quick wittedness
ensure that no two concerts are ever the same.
Tickets £13 (£15 on the door)

Friday 13th December - Maire Ni Chathasaigh and Chris Newman
Celtic Christmas Strings
Máire and Chris’s alchemy on harp and guitar creates a very special magic. Individually famed for originality, innovation and virtuosity on their
respective instruments, together they have created one of the most distinctive sounds in modern acoustic music and brought their unique
musical vision to venues large and small in 22 countries on five continents. Their many recordings express both the depth of their
commitment to tradition and an eternally playful, curious and adventurous spirit. Their new Christmas show features a breathtaking blend of
traditional Irish music, swing jazz and bluegrass, plus festive favourites given a fresh voice with arrangements that are intricate, inventive,
moving and beautiful, and performed in their characteristically heart-warming style – a spellbinding treat for mid-winter.
